Northern Lights martini Cochrane, Alberta

Oh Canada my home and native land....it doesn't matter how many times we travel these roads we still find the scenery amazing.  From Creston we travelled thru to Cranbrook and then to Invermere.  We had thought we would stay there but it was VERY expensive, cars and people every where; with temperatures reaching the high 30s.
We went a little further on highway 93 to Radium Hot Springs where we stayed at a hotel with a pool that we had stayed at in 1999 with Mariah.  Mona had taught her to do handstands in that pool.  Rolf has the weird house down the road, he worked in Gold River in the late 70s as a faller.

Right in our hotel parking lot

Traveling on highway 95 thru Banff and Canmore, we stopped in Cochrane.

Rock me moma like a wagon wheel.....
The lyrics were running thru my head as we motored out of Grand Forks, leaving behind the smell of fresh hay and alfalfa. We laughed last night while eating homemade pizza at Rumours; it took us 3 days to travel the same distance we used to ride in one day!  Omg we have a more relaxed riding style in our old age!
At dinner we witnessed a youth counsellor trying to help two strung out teens.  We are so grateful all the kids we know are doing well!!  We bought the guy a dinner gift certificate and thanked him for never giving up!!

Midway had a great museum

Boring "Crantini". Osoyoos BC

Woke up in Hope to blue sky with a chill in the air, we could see our breath but there was no rain.  On the road again..to Princeton for breakfast at Thomasina's.  Definitely a spot we will return to; homemade bread and baking, street side tables and friendly servers.    The Oliver Bel Air Motel didn't have water in the pool so we stayed at the Destiny Resort in Osoyoos.

Hello Mexico, Hope, B.C.

Ok it was the shortest first day ever...we left at 8 am, drove directly on the ferry to discover our good friend Bill.  We spent the two hours catching up, then rode together to Denco in Cloverdale.  Dave pulled the plugs on my 111 and confirmed it is running just as it was designed to.  We arrived in Hope shivering in the cold drizzle, after a bowl of soup we decided no sense in getting our boots wet when we could go for a yummy dinner at Joe's!!!
Except Joe's has changed their name!  293 Wallace Street has the same great food and service.  Chelsea mixed up two beautiful martinis, "Hello Mexico"
