Poolside again

We were up and on the road by 8:30, heading for Christina Lake. It was a 21 km run with the sun beaming down on us, a little bit chilly as we were climbing in elevation.  We tried to find a cafe for breakfast but there were not very many options.  We rode back to Grand Forks to Yacky Jackeys, where there were spelt pancakes, organic coffee and lots of activity.
We picked up steaks to barbecue and wine for dinner; we headed to the pool.   For the second day we had our own private pool!

Figured out the photos

Record kilometres

We have a new record; 300 Kms in three days!   We went back to osoyoos for a coffee and I rode the hill again; the 4th time in the last ten days!  I love that hill, it is challenging and gets my adrenalin pumping.   We continued on to Greenway where we had a coffee at the local bakery; definitely my weakness!
We arrived at Johnny's motel around 1 pm, did a grocery shop and beer run; to the pool!   We just came in at 6 pm, not a bad shift.  The weather is hot, the scenery is spectacular. what more could a bike want?

Ahhhhhh, the life!

We are sipping southern comfort at the pool in Oliver; day two!  It is 40 degrees and I am grateful for the umbrella, too hot without it.  I am not complaining!
We rode with Sandy and Risa to osoyoos and parted ways; Oliver has a great Greek restaurant, a pool and sunshine.  I am trying to upload photos of the Greek Mama martini but it is frustrating using the iPad .  frangelico and ouzo, very yummy but strong!

Gotta have visa and martinis

We spent the day (8 hours) at the shop getting Al's bike fixed and then off to Princeton!  We were shocked when Barnes HD told us "we don't work on bikes that old"!  We walked into the restaurant for dinner and there was Sandy and Risa; is a small world.

Here we go again!

It was raining all morning, we picked blackberries, did the laundry, and then the sun came out.  Do we go? Do we wait until morning? What should we do?
The clouds hung around but there was no rain so we loaded up and headed for the ferry; we didn't even look at the schedule.   We arrived at the terminal at 4:04 and the ferry left at 4:40!
Next question.  Where are we going?  It looked clear towards Hope and overcast to Whistler,  mmmm?   Pauline gave me a weather forecast for Whistler on Saturday, 70 percent chance of rain.  Ok Hope it is!

Not to be, we are broke down in Langley drinking coolers at a hotel!   This time it is the young bike; Al's!
